Who is CiSRA?

CiSRA is the Australian Research & Development centre for Canon Inc., with over 300 employees working on cutting-edge, next generation technology for cameras, imaging and information products.
CiSRA’s core objective is to discover, develop and deliver the exciting future technologies that will be used in Canon products. CiSRA technology is in products sold all around the world and real people enjoy using them every day.

CiSRA has developed close relationships with Canon Inc. business groups to provide them with a diverse range of imaging, security, and user interface technologies. CiSRA s technological solutions play a major part in the success of Canon products around the world.

WHAT DOES CiSRA DELIVER?

CiSRA offers a range of services covering research and development for software and hardware, user interface design and quality assurance.

One of CiSRA’s most recent successes is Ultra Fast Rendering (UFR), a high performance Raster Image Processor (RIP). UFR delivers high-speed colour printing and is a core component of many Canon printers and multifunctional devices. CiSRA is now working on new technology for the next–generation printers and multifunctional devices.
Additionally, CiSRA is involved in image watermarking security, video surveillance and analysis technology (such as the NVR VK-64 Storage Server and Viewer), customised solutions for multifunction devices, plus much more.
